Carpet cleaning is a multi-step process, where each step is important and should not be skipped. Clean Your Carpets implements a systematic approach while being quick and efficient.
Step 1: Pre-Vacuum Dirt Removal (Optional)
The first step to cleaning a carpet is to get rid of all the debris, dirt, mud, sand, and other large particles stuck amongst the fibres. We use an industrial-grade vacuum cleaner to dislodge and remove these elements before focusing on the stains. You can see a difference in the carpet right from this step.
Step 2: Stain Removal or Spot Treatment
We target each stain on the carpet and use the necessary cleaning agents to remove it. Our professionals determine the ratio and concentration of the cleaning solution based on the type of stain. While we endeavour to remove every stain, permanent ones that came with the carpet may be case-sensitive and permanent.
Step 3: Carpet Pre-Spray
We use a carpet pre-spray to break down all the soils, traffic areas and various stains. The spray softens the stains and dirt logged in the fibres of the carpet and makes it easier to remove the particles without damaging the weave and threads.
Step 4: Carpet Cleaning
This is the core part of the process. Depending on the cleaning method, we adjust the process by relying on dry ingredients or using steam and high pressure for deep cleaning. We ensure the carpet’s chemical balance doesn’t change, irrespective of the cleaning method. For Heavy Duty Carpet Cleaning, scrubbing may be required to get rid of the dirt and tough stains.
Step 5: Rinsing and Conditioning
Once we thoroughly clean the carpets with our organic cleaning agents, it’s time for a good rinse. Rinsing is used to eliminate carpet residues and make it appear fresh and neat. We also use conditioning products to soften the fibres and retain colours during the rinse.
Step 6: Shield/ Protection Coat Application (optional)
As the last step, we apply a coat of carpet protection to help prevent stains from seeping into the carpet fibres. This step is optional as not all customers prefer a stain protective coat. However, we recommend it to increase the longevity of the carpet.
